SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) — Joey, the baby kangaroo, also known as Scooby-Roo, visited to the San Angelo Live studio on Monday, November 28. The 7-month-old kangaroo is the latest addition to Kountry Korrals and Pony Pals.
This Christmas season, Kresta Thomas is partnering with her close friend and business associate Caleb Edwards, the founder of Jesus Wins Ministries. The duo will host the event named Cowboy Christmas in San Angelo, Texas, scheduled for Saturday, December 2, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The event will take place at The Downtown Stockyards, situated at 108 E. Concho Avenue.
The event promises fun for the entire family. Families can anticipate a diverse array of farm and exotic animals, shopping opportunities, vendors, pony rides, barrel train vendors, live music, food trucks, a silent auction, and more.
Thomas owns and operates this mobile petting zoo. With over a decade of experience, she has been involved in raising and breeding various livestock such as sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, horses, cattle, and other small animals. She is deeply committed to animal rescue, emphasizing that every animal they raise or rescue becomes a part of their petting zoo. Growing up in San Angelo, Thomas's family has always supported her passion for working with animals. She finds joy in introducing farm life and the different breeds of animals to kids in the area.
Caleb Edwards, Kresta Thomas's business partner and close friend, founded Jesus Wins Ministry. Edwards embarked on his mission in 2012, traveling globally to evangelize and share God’s word. He has witnessed up to 700 people at a time embracing Christ as their Lord and Savior in various countries and continents, including China, Africa, Australia, London, and more. Edwards's ministry extends beyond spiritual nourishment; he has recently spearheaded the construction of an orphanage in Mityana, Uganda, providing over 150 orphans with a home and daily care. Edwards revealed that 100 percent of the funding for his mobile ministry originates from local philanthropists in West Texas.
These remarkable individuals are thrilled to collaborate and offer San Angeloans an enjoyable, family-centric experience during Cowboy Christmas at The Downtown Stockyards this Saturday. Attendees are encouraged to bring their families and friends and share their best photos with Scooby-Roo, the baby kangaroo.
