Fire at Home on Culver Avenue, Family and Pets Evacuated

SAN ANGELO, TX – A significant house fire occurred in the 2500 block of Culver Ave. in San Angelo on Saturday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m. Witnesses reported a large volume of smoke billowing from the eaves at the back of the residence.

Bystanders stated that the family residing in the home was quickly evacuated, along with most of their pets. However, there were concerns about one dog that was reportedly still missing following the evacuation.

San Angelo Fire Department crews were present at the site for several hours, vigilantly monitoring and addressing any hot spots to prevent further spread of the fire. Given the extent of the damage, it is likely that the house will be deemed uninhabitable and its power supply disconnected as a safety precaution.

In situations like this, where residents are displaced due to fire damage, the American Red Cross typically steps in to provide emergency shelter and assistance to the affected families.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
