Fire Incites Tension With Food Truck Owners in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — Emergency services, including firefighters and the SAPD, rushed to a blaze at a food truck in Icon Cinema's parking lot on North Bryant's 2000 block at approximately 3:15 p.m. today.

The incident involved Brothers Refresqueria, a truck specializing in flavored ice and fruit drinks. Fire investigators were promptly on the scene to determine the fire's origin and cause. Onlookers gathered, bracing against the chill as the sun dipped below the horizon.

The tension was palpable among the family and the food truck's proprietor, who displayed considerable distress. The presumed owner confronted a San Angelo LIVE! journalist, seizing their smartphone and issuing threats. No assault charges were pressed, although police documented the encounter.

In a fortunate turn, there were no severe injuries reported. However, one individual, possibly a co-owner, required medical attention for smoke inhalation and was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

The fire investigation will discover how the fire started and was not complete when this report was filed.
