SAN ANGELO, TX — It will rain in San Angelo through Wednesday, on and off, the National Weather Service in San Angelo forecasted. Periods of heavy rain are expected through Wednesday and flash flooding will be a concern, the weather shop reported.

Monday morning, aviation weather remained VFR albeit with a 9,500-feet Above Ground Level (AGL) broken to overcast deck. Rain showers are in the vicinity. At approximately 7 p.m., aviation weather forecasts indicate those showers will elevate to thunderstorms with cumulonimbus cloud formations. Ceilings will fluctuate between 1,500 to 3,000 feet AGL overcast overnight, the aviation weather forecast stated. Rain showers and thunderstorms will continue all day Tuesday.
The weather change is caused by a static front situated above Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mississippi. The frontal boundary involves the clashing of high and low pressure systems and it is expected to move very little through Wednesday. All of Texas will receive rain except for the extreme northern portion of the Panhandle and South Texas.
