San Angelo Mourns Sudden Loss of Beloved Philanthropist

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo community lost a treasured citizen and philanthropist Saturday.

According to an obituary, on Oct. 7, 2023, Judith Morrow Boyd Hirschfeld passed away suddenly at the age of 83.

Hirschfeld was the wife of David Hirschfeld, founder of Hirschfeld Steel. Together, the two started the Judith and David Hirschfeld Adoption Center for Concho Valley PAWS. For more, see: Concho Valley PAWS to Celebrate Opening of New Adoption Facility

This charitable act was just one of the many donations the couple made. In fact, to end the obituary, the family asked that all donations be given to PAWS and the First Methodist Church.
