San Angelo Dog Missing for 6 Years Found in Oklahoma

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A dog missing for over six years ago will soon be returned to its owner in San Angelo after being found in central Oklahoma.

According to a social media post from the owner, on Aug. 8, 2023, Sami, a male husky, was found in Chandler Oklahoma. The dog will be returned to his home in San Angelo Friday after a veterinarian found a microchip that confirmed the dog was from San Angelo.

"Sami used to escape the back yard and I would get a call from someone who had found her," said the owner in the post. "One day about six years ago she got out and no calls day after day. This past Monday morning I got a phone call from a vet in Chandler, Oklahoma. Wanted to know if i was missing a dog."

The owner continued by telling the story how her dog was found. He confirmed that the dog was brought to the vet by a woman and the microchip had the owner's number. 

A friend of the owner will be bringing the dog to town on Friday. The owner said he will update on the situation once Sami comes home.

Chandler Oklahoma is 433 miles from San Angelo and is a 141 hour walk.
