CVCAA Launches New Housing Assistance Program for Renters with Disabilities

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Concho Valley Community Action Agency has launched a new housing assistance program for renters with disabilities in the San Angelo area.

According to the CVCAA Outreach and Marketing Director Sidney Timmer, the program is called the Tenant-Based Rental Assistance for Person with Disabilities.

"As most of the COVID-19 and CARES funding is gone, CVCAA is no longer able to assist with overdue rental payments and mass evictions," said Timmer. "TBRA PWD helps cover a portion of rent for up to two years for qualifying households that live anywhere in our 11-county service area, including inside the city limits of San Angelo."

This program is different from other programs in the past as it is available inside of the city limit rather than just rural areas outside the city.
