This San Angelo Cemetery Will Be Cleaning Up This Month

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Fairmount Cemetery this upcoming week will be removing all items from graves as part of their routine clean up.

Items that will be removed, on July 14, include flowers and other items. Family who want to keep items left on site are asked to pick them by July 7. Unclaimed items will be thrown away on July 21.

The following is a message from the City of San Angelo:

Fairmount Cemetery’s staff will clean the burial grounds Friday, July 14, removing flowers and other items from graves so the property can be cleaned and trimmed.

Those who want to preserve items should remove them from gravesites before the end of the day Friday, July 7. Items may be returned to the cemetery, located at 1100 W. Avenue N, beginning Tuesday, Aug. 1. Items left at gravesites will be picked up and held for one week for residents to pick up. Unclaimed items will be disposed of Friday, July 21.

Lot owners are reminded that flowers should be placed only to the sides or in cradles on top of monuments. This allows for maintenance of gravesites.
