Chef Teaches Ag Students the Proper Way to Cook Lamb

SAN ANGELO, TX — A group of local high school students Monday morning learned the basics of cooking lamb from a professional chef.

During the Texas A&M Ag Extension Agency’s Texas Youth Sheep and Goat tour, on June 26, 2023, the group of 10 to 12 students from local high schools stopped at the Angry Cactus to learn how to Roast, Grill, and Braise a rack of lamb.

This was just one of the many stops during the Agrilife Extension tour. Other stops include stops at various auction sites.

The purpose of the day is to show students the process from lamb and goat from birth until marketed and served on a plate.
