San Angelo Man Killed in Matador Tornado

 

MATADOR— A San Angelo man has been identified as one of the victims of the tornado that hit north of Lubbock.

The Department of Public Safety has released the names of the four victims and one of the victims was from San Angelo.

  • Jo Etta Bumgardner (85)- Matador, Texas
  • Randell Rolin (59)- Purcell, Oklahoma
  • Victor Valenzuela (43)- Austin, Texas
  • Troy Hernandez (23) – San Angelo, Texas

On Wednesday, June 21, a supercell tornado hit Northeast of Lubbock. No other deaths have been reported and other citizens have been accounted for. 15 others have been injured, 29 structures have been destroyed, and 61 properties have been affected.
