UPDATE: Wounded San Angelo Humanitarian Recovered After Loss of Foot from IED

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Michael 'Monty' Montoya is recovering from injuries sustained last week from an IED.

As previously reported, on June 7, 2023, Michael 'Monty' Montoya, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Humanitarian, was clearing a minefield in Ukraine. A newly posted video on Monty's Twitter shows that he is recovering from the blast. "I'm not done," said Monty in the video. "We'll get this little stumble in the road taken care of, get out there, and keep helping everyone who is going to need it."

Monty also posted on his twitter some of the work he has been doing in the Ukraine. His main objective is to remove land mines from farming fields. These include anti tank mine and anti personnel mines.
