Traffic Signal Removed from Downtown San Angelo Intersection

SAN ANGELO – The traffic light at the intersection of N. Oaks St. at College Ave. by Shannon Medical Center downtown will be removed and replaced with stop signs beginning Monday, May 1, 2023.

According to information from the City of San Angelo, the signal is being removed for construction.

Shannon is currently constructing a parking garage on the corner of that intersection which is connected to the hospital.

City officials say the signal removal is because of ongoing utility construction in the area.
