San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts Damaged Roof Being Replaced

SAN ANGELO— The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will be getting a major roof upgrade that will take a couple of months.

According to the museum’s Facebook page, the museum will be closed until June 1st, 2023. The reason why is the museum is going to be getting a new roof thanks to an insurance settlement.  The copper roof was damaged in a hail storm in 2020.

Although the museum is closed, it will still be hosting art exhibits at Fort Concho in the Quartermaster's Gallery at the other end of the fort.

That means all exhibits and programs will go on as regularly scheduled.
