San Angelo Warming Shelter Opens for 2 Frigid Nights

 

SAN ANGELO – Temperatures are forecast to drop well below freezing Wednesday and Thursday nights and the City of San Angelo is opening its warming shelter for those in need of a warm place to stay. 

The City of San Angelo will be opening a warming shelter from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. each night beginning Wednesday, Feb. 15, through Thursday, Feb. 16, at Carl Ray Johnson Recreation Center, 1103 Farr St.  

Volunteers are needed to help run the warming shelter. Sign up at www.cosatx.us/WarmingShelter.

The American Red Cross will provide cots.  

Animals are permitted but must not be aggressive or disruptive.
