WATCH: Utility Construction Closes Oxford & College Hills Intersection Again

SAN ANGELO – Utility crews working on replacing water and sewer lines will close the intersection of College Hills Blvd. and Oxford Ave. again Thursday and Friday according to information from the City of San Angelo.

The intersection of College Hills Boulevard and Oxford Ave. will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18 & 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19.

Motorists traveling north on College Hills may avoid the closure by traveling west on Millbrook Drive to Southwest Boulevard then to Sherwood Way to Avenue N to access the northern portion of College Hills. Southbound travelers can take SAC Avenue to Sul Ross Street to Vista Del Arroyo.

The utility work is part of a larger project to completely rebuild College Hills from the loop to Ave. N including replacing aging water & sewer lines, rebuilding intersections and traffic signals, resurfacing the roadway and redesigning and rebuilding the portion of College Hills across the Red Arroyo to improve drainage.

The project is expected to take several months to complete.
