Fairmount Cemetery Cleanup is Coming Soon

SAN ANGELO – The City of San Angelo is reminding residents that the annual cleanup in Fairmount Cemetery will be held on July 15 and people who want to preserve items on the graves there have until Friday, July 8 to remove them.

Fairmount Cemetery’s staff will clean the burial grounds Friday, July 15, removing flowers and other items from graves so the property can be cleaned and trimmed. Those who want to preserve items should remove them from gravesites before the end of the day this Friday, July 8. Items may be returned to the cemetery, located at 1100 W. Avenue N, beginning Monday, August 1, 2022.

Items left at gravesites will be picked up and held for one week for residents to pick up. Unclaimed items will be disposed of Thursday, July 21.

Lot owners are reminded that flowers should be placed only to the sides or in cradles on top of monuments. This allows for maintenance of gravesites.
