Construction Crews Busy in June Working on San Angelo Streets

 

SAN ANGELO – The City of San Angelo released the June 2022 street report on Wednesday afternoon.

In the report the city confirmed that as of Jun. 8 there are currently six major active street projects. The six contain the Downtown Chadbourne St. Project, the Southwest Blvd. Project, the Bell Street Project, the College Hill Loop 306 to Ave. N Project, the N. Monroe St. Project, and the Rio Concho Dr. Project.

Over the past five years the city has completed projects like the reconstruction of streets like MLK BLV., Airport Entrance Rd., and College Hills from Loop 306 to Valleyview. During this year crews were also able to fully repair all of the damages from Winter Storm Uri.

Future projects will include the south side of Chadbourne St., Sunset Dr., Christoval Road and more. Projects farther down that road will include E Harris St., Johnson St., Avenue N, and Smith Blvd.

Also over the next two months the city will begin their annual sealcoat project. This year the following areas will be sprayed:

  • Southland Area from Ridgecrest North to Loop 306
  • County Club Lake Estates
  • Las Lomas Estates
  • Country Club Rd. Grand Canal Rd. Templin Rd. Ranch Ln. Wrangler Ln.
  • Ben Ficklin RD. from Country Club Rd. to Loop 306. The Crossings. South Crossings Court.
  • Fort Concho Area South of the River to Ave. G.
