Famous San Angelo Chef Brings a Taste of Home to the Nation's Capitol

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tim Condon, San Angelo's famous chef and owner of the iconic San Angelo Restaurant the Angry Cactus, visited a number of politicians this past week in Washington D.C. to give them a taste of San Angelo.

Condon met with San Angelo's Representative in the Unites States Congress, Rep. August Pfluger. Following their meeting, Condon prepared a meal for Pfluger and his colleagues.

"What an honor to do a little cooking on Capital Hill," said Chef Tim Condon. "Shoutout to Congressman August Pfluger for introducing me to so many great folks working up here in DC for our interests back in West Texas."

Condon brought with him from San Angelo a number of treats from across the Concho Valley.

"I was able to bring pickled okra from Talk-o-Texas, wild game from Broken Arrow Ranch, wine from Mark Malone along with some favorites from Angry Cactus like Bacon wrapped Quail," said Condon. "It was such an honor to import a lot of our Texas goods directly to DC. San Angelo has a lot of amazing foods and specialties and it was really cool to bring all of these culinary delights to DC and represent what we are doing from a culinary perspective in West Texas.

Pfluger confirmed that the food was as good as it looked and that he loves bringing San Angelo to D.C.

"Tim is a leader in San Angelo, dedicating his time and energy to building our community and bringing people together," said Rep. Pfluger. "Especially throughout the pandemic, Tim has created innovative solutions to continue to help people gather together around good food - including his online "cook-alongs"."

Tim Condon is an award winning chef that owns two restaurants in San Angelo; the Angry Cactus and Lone Star Cheeseburger.

This is why the food in this town is garbage. This guy isn't some award winning chef. You mean his burger shop, that he has employees fill out forms to vote him best? His products are the cheapest, garbage you can get, and you dumbasses are like ohhhhh look small portions at high prices. This is good food. This dude is a joke to anyone who actually knows how to cook. It's also funny the stories I have heard from girls he tries to pick up on tinder. Rofl joke article
