San Angelo Recreation Department Updates Municipal Pool & Summer Camp Reservations

SAN ANGELO, TX – The City of San Angelo Recreation Department has some updates regarding Municipal Pool reservations and Summer Camp 2022 registration.

Municipal Pool

The Municipal Pool will begin taking pool party reservations on Monday, May 2. Reservations must be made from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, beginning May 2, in the Recreation offices in Santa Fe Crossing, 702 S. Chadbourne St. The tentative opening day for the pool is scheduled for the last week in May.

Private party rentals

Private parties may be reserved any day of the week. Time slots are 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. Some dates may be unavailable because of public events at the pool.

Private parties cost:

• 1-100 people: $250
• 101-200 people: $350
• 201-300 people: $450
• 301-400 people: $550

A $100 deposit required is also required plus the initial fee stated above. All fees are due when the reservation is made. Cancellation fees may apply.

Semi-private party rentals

Semi-private parties, during which the pool remains open to the public, cost $20 per hour plus $3 per person. There is a two-hour minimum for semi-private parties.

Summer Camp 2022

Reservations for Recreation’s Summer Camp program will begin being accepted on Monday, March 21, at 8 a.m. The cost is $65 to cover the first week of camp and a $45 registration fee. Registration will start March 21, 2022, for Southside Recreation site and must be made from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday Friday in the Recreation offices in Santa Fe Crossing, 702 S. Chadbourne St. 

Summer Day Camp is a fun way for children to stay active during the summertime. While at their campsites, campers will be play various sports and board games, make arts and crafts, and engage in other fun activities. The gyms now have air conditioning.

• Registration: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in the Recreation offices at Santa Fe Crossing, 702 S. Chadbourne St.
• Cost: $45 non-refundable registration fee, plus first week of camp payment of $65 per child
• Ages: 5-12 years old
• Locations: Southside Recreation Center, 2750 Ben Ficklin Road, and Carl Ray Johnson Recreation Center, 1103 N. Farr St.
• Camp dates: May 31-Aug. 5, 2022
• Camp times: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding holidays
