Tom Green County Jail Invites Family and Friends to Bring Christmas Ornaments

SAN ANGELO, TX –– In an effort to bring a little holiday spirit to the Tom Green County Detention Facility, officials are inviting families and friends of incarcerated individuals to bring a Christmas ornament for the jail's tree.

"While this certainly doesn't replace being able to spend time with your loved ones, our hope is that it may add a little Christmas joy during these difficult times," said Major Todd Allen.

The ornaments, which should stay in the theme of the Christmas spirit, will be placed in the tree found in the jail's lobby. The ornaments will remain up until January 7, 2022.

Jail officials remind families that staff is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen ornaments due to trees being placed in a public place.

"The Tome Green County Sheriff's Office and jail hope that you and your family have a safe and happy holiday season."
