San Angelo Police Department Introduces New Public Information Officer

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department is welcoming veteran officer Tina Burks as the new Public Information Officer.

Officer Burks is taking over the position previously held by Officer Tracy Piatt-Fox, who recently retired according to a press release from the SAPD.

Last month Burks was awarded a Class “A” Award for her actions while responding to a suicidal subject call. When Burks arrived at the scene she found the individual was in severe medical distress.

Officer Burks was then able to intervene and reestablish the breathing of the citizen thus saving the citizen's life.
