Several San Angelo Police Officers Receive Class “A” Awards

 

SAN ANGELO,TX- Several San Angelo Police Officers were recently awarded various Class “A” Awards in recognition of their extraordinary efforts in Public Safety and service to the community.

Class “A” awards denote decorations which must be earned by officers through various outlined meritorious acts of service and can only be awarded with the recommendation of the Meritorious Conduct Board and the approval of the Chief of Police.

The following Officers have been awarded the department’s Civic Achievement Award;

Sgt Kellie Lajoie,Officer Irma Rodriguez, Officer Alyssa Asebedo, and Officer Ricardo Dominguez.

This award is awarded to these outstanding Officers for their efforts to help a lady who was unable to get to the grocery store and purchase groceries during the Covid-19 lockdown. The officers took it upon themselves to go to the grocery store and purchase several weeks of groceries for the citizen with their own money.

The following Officers have been awarded the department’s Life Saving Award;

Officer Jonathan Montana, In March of 2020 Officer Montana applied a tourniquet to the arm of a citizen who had sustained a severe cut and was bleeding excessively. Medical personnel credited Officer Montana’s action for being necessary in the citizen’s recovery.

Officer Tina Burks, In January 2020 Officer Burks responded to a suicidal subject call, the subject was found in severe medical distress. Officer Burks was able to intervene and reestablish the breathing of the citizen thus saving the citizens life.

Officer Chase Hill, In June of 2020 Officers were dispatched to a suicidal subject call. Once on scene Officer Hill had to physically engage the individual and gain possession of a firearm thus preventing injury to the citizen and fellow officers.

Officer Charles Barker, In June of 2020 Officer Barker responded to an unconscious person. Upon arrival Officer Barker discovered a citizen who was not breathing. Officer Barker immediately began CPR and maintained CPR until the citizen began breathing again.

Officers Jennifer Ogan and Ethan Hodges, In July of 2020 Officers were dispatched to an unconscious person. Upon arrival they discovered a citizen who was unconscious and had quit breathing. These Officers began CPR and continued CPR until the citizen began breathing again.

Officer Steve Dophied, In January 2021 Officer Dophied responded to a welfare check of a citizen. Upon arrival Officer Dophied discovered the citizen had collapsed and did not have a pulse. Officer Dophied began chest compressions and continued till EMS arrival. ER Doctors credited Officer Dophied’s actions to the recovery of the citizen.

Why don't you post about the times that officers shot and killed people? Why don't you post these specific officers disciplinary records and PROVE they were "good" boys/girls? This is just cops giving other cops awards, which means nothing.

Change the name dude. Instead of Me Someone, it should be Me Something. That something being a douchebag. I'm sure SA isn't giving you any awards for saving lives and helping folks in need. 

Deep emotional issues with authority.  You're gonna mind somebody whether it be a citizen or a cop in today's atmosphere. This person spends more time on the computer than challenging cops, I'd say we're only in danger of having to read more comments from this person.

They are anti-America when they FULL_DIAPER doesn't win. Worst losers since the first dumb Civil War. Also, "the only reason a person should be denied the position of policeman, is the desire to BE a policeman." It's probably in the Bible.
