AEP Provides Update on Restoring Power

SAN ANGELO, TX – AEP Texas crews are working to restore power to residents in San Angelo and across West Texas as ERCOT allows for more power to be allocated from the grid.

Here is the latest communication from AEP Thursday morning:

AEP Texas crews worked overnight and restored approximately 150,000 customers, as more generation became available on the grid. We will continue to work to restore every single customer. Texas will experience another wave of cold weather including snow and ice over the next few days. Please remember to continue to conserve energy as we still have more work to do. Thank you for your continued patience. We know every Texan continues to endure challenging conditions right now. Please stay safe and thank you again. #WeAreAEPTexas

Some residents have been without power since Monday and officials are calling for an investigation and reform of ERCOT.
