AEP Update: Power Outage Will Continue

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The power outage across Texas will continue as the Electric Reliability Council of Texas requests providers to decrease the load on the electric grid.  

Here's the latest  update from  AEP Texas the distribution service provider for San Angelo.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, ERCOT, continues to request that utility companies, including AEP Texas, decrease load on the electric grid. That means power outages will continue for the rest of Tuesday, at least. We know this is hard. Thank you for your patience as we all work through this together. Please stay safe. #WeAreAEPTexas

City of San Angelo:

The City still has room at the warming shelter at the McNease Convention Center, located at 501 Rio Concho Drive. 

The City would like to assure everyone that precautions are being taken in regard to COVID-19.

As a reminder, please bring your own pillow and blanket if you plan to rest or stay the there. Some snacks and refreshments will be provided but visitors are encouraged to bring their own. Masks are required for everyone.
