Tom Green Co. Sheriff's Office Trunk or Treat Killed by Coronavirus

SAN ANGELO, TX – With October approaching it was only a matter of time before annual Halloween events are canceled due to fear of COVID-19.

The first cancellation this year was from the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office. The following is a message they put out on September 28:

"Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 concerns, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office will not be hosting the annual National Night Out event. We have also canceled the Trunk or Treat festival normally held at the Sheriff’s Office. We look forward to hosting these events again in a healthy 2021!"

The cancellation will join Christmas at Old Fort Concho to decide to not have their event. A number of other annual events are expected to follow soon.
