Familiar Face to Lead 2020 United Way Campaign

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The United Way of the Concho Valley announced on Monday that Nick George of H-E-B, will be leading the 2020 United Way of the Concho Valley Campaign.

According to the organization George has been with H-E-B for 10 years as a store leader and moved to San Angelo in 2017 with his family to open the new H-E-B. 

“Nick has been a valued asset to our Board of Directors, and we are thrilled to have him leading our 2020 Campaign,” said Ashley Ammons, President/CEO United Way of the Concho Valley. “With the uncertainty of COVID-19, it is truly going to take our community living by our creed of LIVE UNITED to ensure valuable resources will be provided to our Community Partners. Nick will be a tremendous asset to our efforts this fall.” 

“I am excited to be the Campaign Chair this year, and I look forward to working with our community leaders and many companies who support our funding efforts,” said George. “The organizations we partner with are doing great work right here in our community, and the United Way of the Concho Valley is proud to support their missions.”

Last year the Concho Valley raised over $1,143,000, which is used to fund 18 programs within 15 local agencies.
