City and County Parks Reopen Monday

SAN ANGELO, TX – City and County Parks have officially reopened Monday.

As previously reported, on June 29, the City of San Angelo's Health Authority Dr. James Vretis and Tom Green County Judge Steve Floyd decided to close down the city and county parks. Here is the original story: San Angelo Shuts Down Lake Nasworthy on Independence Day Weekend

The closure was to help stop the spread of COVID-19 during the always busy Independence Day weekend.

The order issued that all the parks be closed until July 13 at 12:00 a.m.

It is unclear how long the parks will remain open as the City of San Angelo's Health Department reported 298 new positive COVID-19 cases.
