Freedom Fellowship Church Opens with Modified Services

SAN ANGELO, TX – As Texas prepares to slowly reopen, churches are working to ensure members can safely return to services inside the churches. Freedom Fellowship has detailed its approach to remain under the 25% capacity rule set by Gov. Abbott while also opening its doors.

In order to accommodate all members this coming Sunday and next Sunday, May 10 will be offering two services that will limit capacity to 125 people per service. Members will be divided by last name during services.

Sunday, May 3rd

  • 9:00 am – Last names beginning with A and ending in F
  • 11:00 am – Last names beginning with G and ending in L

Sunday, May 10th

  • 9:00 am – Last names beginning with M and ending in R
  • 11:00 am – Last names beginning with S and ending in Z

Services will be 1 ½ hours long and will have a 30 minutes intermission in between. All church members will be entering through the Chadbourne St entrance. Any overflow will be sent to the Youth Room or the Coffee Shop.

Congregants will not be required to wear a mask, but they may do so if they wish. Hand sanitizers will be located throughout the building, especially at entrances and outside of restrooms and Infant/Toddler areas.

“If you are running a temp or have any flu-like symptoms or are immune-compromised, please stay at home. I know that sounds weird since we pray and believe for healing, but more people will feel comfortable about coming if they know this,” said the church in a statement.

Child Care will only be for infants and toddlers. All other children will sit with their families; CDC Guidelines will be followed by Child Care workers.

For now, Wednesday night services will remain closed to the public and the church will continue to Livestream and Facebook Live those classes. Additionally, church vans will not be transporting passengers this week.
