SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo will be filled with things to do this year during Mardi Gras including everything from drink specials to a fundraiser to benefit the elderly in town.
The number one event in town in is the 20th annual Mardi Gras fundraiser for the Meals for the Elderly. Great food, fun, and music will be the theme for Meals for the Elderly’s 20th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration held from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the McNease Convention Center. All proceeds will benefit Meals for the Elderly, feeding hungry seniors in Tom Green County and Miles, TX.Adult Tickets are $25.00 each. Student Tickets are $12.00 each. Texas Hold’em Tickets are $25.00 each. MahJong Tickets are $10.00 each. Raffle Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00.
Another great spot will be at the Chadbourne Tavern. They will be having a comedy show as well as three live music performers. They will be having a special that includes $3 hurricanes, $2 domestic pints, and $1 wells. The party kicks off at 6 p.m.
If you want a Cajun dinner the spot to be at is the Wharf. They will be serving their full menu featuring their blackened trout with a crab carbonara sauce. They are located at 2302 W Loop 306.
Red Lobster is also putting in a Mardi Gras theme during their annual lobster fest with their French Quarter Colada. This drink contains Bacardí Superior rum, Malibu Coconut rum, Monin Desert Pear syrup, and piña colada mix, rimmed with golden sugar and topped with a watermelon rock candy stick.
If you can't celebrate Fat Tuesday tonight don't worry. The Christoval Winery will be having a Mardi Gras Celebration that includes a $20 plate of crawfish, live music, celebrity chefs, and more! They will also be having a St. Patrick's day celebration the following day featuring their famous Irish Stew. RSVP is required but there are still a number of spots available.
