TxDOT Crews Continue to Fight the Ice on Roadways

SAN ANGELO, TX – Texas Department of Transportation crews will continue fighting the ice on highways throughout Wednesday night.

According to TxDOT, on January 6, the Texas Department of Transportation sent out a notice warning the public that crews will be working throughout the night.

"Our crews will be working overnight again tonight monitoring roads, said the TxDOT San Angelo Twitter. "Icy spots will be treated with a salt/sand mixture."

Crews worked all night to prepare the roads for this morning.

Many of San Angelo's TxDOT crew members have been helping in the northern counties this afternoon plowing snow.

As crews continue to work be cautious of not only them but everyone on the roadway. Icy conditions are expected to be extremely high tonight.
