SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo community came together Wednesdat for a silent vigil in remembrance of the “62 million unborn babies that have been aborted” since the Supreme Court ruled on Roe vs Wade in 1973.
The event was put on by the Concho Valley Defenders of Life and they invited community members of all faiths joined to pray for all those who have been hurt and those who need healing from a past abortion.
“Today was a day to pray for those have been hurt by abortion and those who grieve after having abortions, said Sharla Ynostrosa, the San Angelo Pro-Life Coordinator for the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Angelo. “We want them to know there is no judgment and that we hurt with them and we want to help them heal and be able to move forward.
Ynostrosa and many others congregated at the vigil hope that in the future that in Texas will no longer provide legal abortions. Ynostrosa hopes that expectant mothers of all ages who have doubts and questions about their pregnancy reach out to the various resources available in the community for help and support and help them learn about the options besides abortions they have.
The Pregnancy Help Center, located at 2525 Sherwood Way, offers resources for expectant mothers and for those needing assistance after their babies are born.
