Santa Rita House Damaged in Fire

SAN ANGELO, TX — A house fire in the Santa Rita area broke out late Sunday night. Firefighters arrived in at least three pumper engines as smoke could be seen drifting out of the front door.

A visual inspection at the scene showed fire damage to the roof and the right side. Firefighters appeared to have approached the fire defensively to prevent it from spreading to the next door houses. We saw firefighters inspecting the home on the lot to the right of where the house on fire was.

The fire has a wood shingle exterior at 10 S. Jefferson. The time of the 9-1-1 call was around 11 p.m. AEP crews were at the scene cutting power to the property.
