WATCH: San Angelo Faithful Walk and Pray the Way of the Cross on Good Friday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Hundreds of Christians participated in the Way of the Cross procession on Good Friday in San Angelo. 

Bishop Michael Sis, head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Angelo, led the procession beginning on Era St. at St. Margaret's Church and ending at the Christ the King Retreat Center on Ford St. in east San Angelo.

The annual procession commemorates Jesus carrying his cross to his crucifixion and death on Friday.  The church celebrates the resurrection on Easter Sunday.  

The faithful on Friday prayed the rosary as they processed through the east San Angelo neighborhood. Before the procession, they were served a light lunch a St. Margaret's church.
