San Angelo Sending Four Firefighters to California Fires

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Fire Department is sending four firefighters to help battle the California wildfires.

Those going include Battalion Chief Johnny Fisher, Jade Hughes, Driver Blake Foster and Sontos Chavez.

They left this morning along with the Fire Departments TIFMAS (Texas Intrastate Mutual Aid System).

This is all part of a Texas deployment to help firefighters from California to fight the deadly wildfires. 

According to San Angelo Firefighters Foundation's Facebook page, Texas is sending 50 fire trucks, 10 command vehicles, and 200 firefighters from Texas traveling to California.
