Man Seriously Injured in Fall from Cactus Hotel

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police are investigating how a man fell from the Cactus Hotel Saturday evening.

San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said Saturday night, "Officers were dispatched to the Cactus Hotel for a welfare check on a man who was seen climbing one of the structures.  Officers arrived and found the man had fallen down to the second tier.  He has significant injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment,"

"Fire Department (personnel)  had to use a ladder truck very carefully to gain access to that second story."  said Gonzalez, "Myself and other officers were up there with the patient and medics.  I don't know his condition, I don't know the extent of his injuries."

The investigation continues and we will update this story when the San Angelo Police Department releases more information.
