SAN ANGELO, TX — A funeral service is scheduled Saturday, July 28, for Haley Frizzell of San Angelo. She was born July 10, 1999 and died July 20, 2018 in San Marcos. She had just turned 19 years old.
The funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 10114 Highway 6, in Hitchcock, which is located in the Houston metro area, at 11 a.m.
A Celebration of Life will also be held in San Angelo on Saturday, August 4. The location and time is to be announced.
Haley was killed in the Iconic Village and Vintage Pads apartment fire July 20. According to the City of San Marcos, Haley was one of four victims identified by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office in coordination with Hays County Justice of the Peace Maggie H. Moreno. A fifth victim’s identification is pending further DNA testing.
The four identified are:
- Haley Michele Frizzell of San Angelo (born July 10, 1999)
- David Ortiz of Pasadena (born May 11, 1997)
- Dru Estes of San Antonio (born July 5, 1998)
- James Miranda of Mount Pleasant (born Dec. 9, 1994)
All four were previously listed as missing, and all but James Miranda were Texas State University Students.
Still Listed as Missing is Belinda Moats of Big Wells. She was born Aug. 24, 1996.
The bodies of five victims were found in building 500 at Iconic Village apartments. City of San Marcos officials have been in constant communication with family members since Friday, July 20, the City stated.
