First Day of Summer Comes with a Weekend Heat Warning

 

SAN ANGELO, TX--  On the first official day of summer, the National Weather Service in San Angelo is warning Concho Valley residents of a dangerously hot weekend.

The NWS is forecasting triple-digit highs for most of the area, with heat index values nearing 110 degrees in some areas.

With breezy, humid and mostly sunny conditions, the NWS is warning that a heat stroke is easier to get with these conditions.

The NWS would go on to say residents should “use EXTREME CAUTION” if they must go outside during the day.

San Angelo is expected to see heat index values around 108 degrees with a forecasted actual temperature of 103 degrees.
