San Angelo Police Department Promotion Ceremony

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — (SAPD Press Release) Surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues, Officer John Bouligny promoted to the rank of Sergeant and retired Officer Jose Ruiz re-committed himself to service under reserve status this morning during a private ceremony in the Chief’s Conference Room at Police Headquarters.

A former dispatcher, Sgt. Bouligny became a sworn Officer in December, 2012 where he has since served in the Patrol Division and Lake Unit.  Sgt. Bouligny is slated to become a patrol shift supervisor. 

Officer Ruiz, who retired from the Department in July 2017 after twenty-two years of service, will now serve as a police reservist.

The ceremony was administered by Police Chief Frank Carter and San Angelo Police Department Chaplain Gary Jenkins gave the opening and closing prayers.
