According to the Recycling Center’s post, “Saturday will be the last day that S.A.F.E. Recycling Center will be open to the public for any drop offs, we are happy that we have been able to serve San Angelo & the Concho Valley for 28 years.”
Improper disposal of appliances can be harmful to the environment, so do your part and responsibly dispose of unwanted appliances for FREE.
Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. The movement was a nation wide, coast to coast, demonstration against the deterioration of the environment held on April 22, 1970. On that day, 20 million Americans took to the streets, parks, and auditoriums to stand and fight against oil spills, polluting factories and power plants, raw sewage, toxic dumps, pesticides, freeways, the loss of wilderness, and the extinction of wildlife.
There is a mutual agreement with just about everyone that the environment is important and protecting our planet should be a high priority.
