Freezing Rain Forecast for the Concho Valley Wednesday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- National Weather Service Forecasters are predicting freezing rain for the Concho Valley on Wednesday.  

The NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight Tuesday to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.  Widespread freezing rain is likely across the Concho Valley and Big Country. Freezing will begin Wednesday night and last through the morning.  

Areas of freezing rain and drizzle will develop across the area during the late evening and early morning. Ice accumulations less than a 1/10 of an inch.  Concho Valley and Heartland, along and north of a San Angelo to Brownwood line.  Concho Valley and Heartland, along and north of a San Angelo to Brownwood line.

A Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain means periods of freezing rain are imminent or occurring. freezing rain may cause driving to become extremely dangerous...so be prepared to use caution when traveling.
Widespread freezing rain is likely across the Concho Valley and Big Country on Wednesday. This will lead to dangerous driving conditions during the morning commute. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible at times across mainly southeastern portions of the West Central Texas through Friday.
