War Room Actress Inspires San Angeloans at National Prayer Breakfast
SAN ANGELO, TX -- Karen Abercrombie is best known for portraying Miss Clara in the inspirational film ‘War Room’ and brought her firey and animated message to the McNease Convention Center for San Angelo’s National Prayer breakfast Thursday morning.
Hundreds of San Angeloans filled the convention center for the annual event designed to encourage people to gather and pray publicly for local, state and national leaders.
Abercrombie is an award winning actress who has guest starred in several TV shows including the CBS show ‘The Inspectors’ and AMC’s ‘Turn.’
The prayer breakfast included music from the Lincoln Middle School Mariachi Band, the presentation of colors by the Goodfellow Color Guard, special music from Justin DeLoach, a prayer from District Judge Brad Goodwin and the presentation from Abercrombie.
Abercrombie told attendees about moving to Charlotte, NC and being active in her church when the Kendrick Brothers came to town to hold auditions for the movie in her church. She said God put her there and then for that specific purpose. She shared her faith experience and delighted the crowd.
The House of Faith Refuge Crew served coffee and orange juice and picked up the plates after people finished the continental breakfast catered by McGowans.
