From Bad to Worse; Temps Will Drop to the Teens for New Year's Eve Tonight

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Forecasters with the National Weather Service predict a frigid New Year's Eve night with temperatures in the teens and wind chills in the single digits in San Angelo.  

According to the NWS, the forecast is for mostly cloudy with a low around 15. Wind chill values between 7 and 12. North northeast wind around 10 mph.

Icy roads are likely this afternoon and evening, mainly the bridges and overpasses. Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution. It will be very cold tonight, with dangerous wind chill values across the Concho Valley. Be sure to dress warm, including a hat and gloves, if planning to be outside.

The weather won’t be much better on New Year’s Day.  Look for partly sunny and cold, with a high near 27. Wind chill values between 7 and 17. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
