SAN ANGELO, TX -- Six Concho Valley children who recently entered the foster care system will have a merrier Christmas thanks to local Republican organizations.
Jeff Betty is a Child Protective Services attorney and chairman of the Tom Green County Republican party. Officials with CPS on Wednesday put out a call for Christmas gifts for the six children and Betty went to the Concho Valley Republican Women, the San Angelo Pachyderm Club and the Tom Green County Republican Party for help. “I had raised the money for the bicycles in about ten minutes.” Betty said.
The bicycles were picked up from Republican Party headquarters Wednesday afternoon for delivery to the children in need in time for Christmas. “The members of these organizations volunteer for nonprofit groups all the time. They are very generous with their time and money especially this time of year.”
Betty says he encourages all service organizations to contact them with any needs they may have.
