SAN ANGELO, TX – Several real estate agents and homebuilders felt the call to help Rust Street Ministries build up their stock of coats for the upcoming cool weather. The "Baby It's Cold Outside!" event will feature four open houses in the Bentwood neighborhood as well as a raffle, BBQ and drinks from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday Nov. 5.
With the help of her real estate brokerage called Drennan Real Estate; Tessa Easley, a mortgage lender from Benchmark Mortgage; Danny & Austin Aguerro, who together own Sierra Vista Construction; Realtor Kimberly Wright organized an opportunity for the community to support Rust Street Ministries fill the need they have for warm coats for the season’s cooler temperatures.
Care to help?
First drop off your gently used coats at 1606 Pine Valley or 1602 Pine Valley. A volunteer for the event will give you a card that you can take to each home on the tour to get stamped. A golf cart will be available for anyone needing transportation to the nearby homes at 1929 Colonial and 1925 Colonial. Once you have stamped your card at each of the houses, turn it in for an opportunity to win one of the great prizes offered in the raffle from local businesses.
While at the Pine Valley homes enjoy Mikulik Sausage, brisket, and drinks.
This is a free event and an opportunity to help fill the upcoming need in the community for coats during the winter.
Rust Street Ministries is a nondenominational Christian, charity that accepts donations to distribute San Angelo’s most vulnerable, especially during the cold winter months. They do not sell donations they receive and ensure each person they serve truly needs warm clothing, hygiene products, furniture and appliances that they offer.
