San Angelo, TX – Buddy Daniels has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of San Angelo Community Medical Center effective, November 6, 2017. Since 2015, Daniels has served as Chief Operating Officer of Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.
“I look forward to serving San Angelo and the Concho Valley and working with the talented physicians and dedicated employees at San Angelo Community Medical Center,” Daniels said. “It is a privilege to support their dedication to providing high quality healthcare.”
Daniels replaces Jeremy Riney, who resigned in August to take a similar position out of the San Angelo Area.
Daniels has over 15 years of hospital administration experience. At Poplar Bluff Medical Center, he provided leadership for several operational functions, including the expansion and growth of the behavioral health unit. During his career, he provided operational direction which resulted in improved patient, employee and physician satisfaction scores as well as introducing new service lines.

During his career, Daniels has been an active member of the community and served on several non-profit boards of directors, such as the Helena Chamber of Commerce, Rotarian Club, Kiwanis Club and others. Previously, Daniels served as CEO for Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena, Arkansas. He also held leadership roles at Texas hospitals in Corsicana, Abilene and Granbury.
