SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHERN COKE...STERLING AND
NORTHERN TOM GREEN COUNTIES UNTIL 1030 PM CDT...

At 935 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms across eastern Sterling, western and central Coke, and
northern Tom Green counties, moving southeast at 20 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

Locations that will be impacted include... San Angelo, Water Valley,
Carlsbad, Grape Creek, The Intersection Of Highway 208 And Ranch
Road 2662, US-277 Near The Tom Green-Coke County Line, US-87 Near
The Coke-Tom Green County Line and Harriet.

UNTIL 930 PM CDT...

At 837 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Grape Creek, or 8 miles northwest of San Angelo, moving east at 15
mph.

Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
 San Angelo around 905 PM CDT.
 Veribest around 930 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Harriet.

UNTIL 845 PM CDT...
At 756 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Christoval, moving southeast at 5 mph.
Dime size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Christoval.

 

SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN COKE...NORTHEASTERN
TOM GREEN AND RUNNELS COUNTIES UNTIL 745 PM CDT...

At 656 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Tennyson, or 15 miles southeast of Robert Lee, moving southeast at 15
mph.

Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Ballinger, Winters, Maverick, Miles, Orient, Benoit, Veribest,
Tennyson, Rowena, US-277 Near The Tom Green-Coke County Line,
Harriet and US-83 Near The Concho-Runnels County Line.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop over
the Big Country and Concho Valley areas and into the Heartland
area between 6 PM and 830 PM. This will affect the Abilene,
Sweetwater, Ballinger, Coleman, Brownwood and San Angelo areas.
Several of the storms could be accompanied by strong, gusty winds,
brief very heavy rain and dangerous lightning. Motorists should
be alert for sudden visibility reductions in heavy rain, and
avoid driving into areas where water covers the road.
