SAN ANGELO, TX — Heavy smoke could be seen in the sky early this morning after a fire engulfed a house in the 100 block of 12th Street.

Kim Ingram, Fire Investigator with the Fire Marshall's Office, said that at around 8:40 a.m. a neighbor living on the street behind the affected house reported the fire after he heard a loud boom and saw smoke coming from the house.
As of right now, Ingram has confirmed that no one was in the house at the time of the fire.

Firefighters are in their mop up phases of the fire. As soon as they are done, Ingram will be able to enter the house and determine the cause of the fire. Ingram did add that the fire department has responded to this specific house for reports of a fire in the past.
Six San Angelo Fire Department trucks responded to the scene.
