First Food Truck Festival Comes to San Angelo June 3rd

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A couple of weeks ago, the San Angelo Blues Society treated San Angeloans to a huge blues music festival, featuring several outstanding blues artists. Downtown San Angelo was packed with families, friends, and neighbors who all enjoyed the sights and sounds! For those ready to keep the party and good times rolling, another local festival is making its way to San Angelo. Ricardo Flores Jr., spokesman for the Lakeview Bible Church (LVBC), located at 4825 Grape Creek Rd, is pleased to announce, "on Saturday, June 3rd, [the LVBC] will present San Angelo's 1st Food Truck Festival!"

The event will take place at 321 W 49th Street, across from the First Community Federal Credit Union Spur Arena, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Food Truck Festival will feature food trucks from San Angelo and the surrounding areas.

The "LVBC is proud to host a community event like this one in our city,” Flores added. “It’s a great way to try most of our great food truck options in one convenient place. It’s a community event for everyone who just loves food and fun."

The Food Truck Festival is free and open to the public; visitors will only be paying for their food and drinks at the different food trucks. "Pepsi is our official beverage sponsor and the drink sales will go to [the LVBC] for [its] Youth Camp and [its] Nicaragua Mission trip," Flores emphasized.

Angelo Inflatables will have several bounce houses set up during the festival and will charge a small admission fee to offset the cost of set up. All of the other games will be free for anyone wanting to participate.

Visitors will have a chance to participate in a free door prize drawing thanks to several sponsors who generously "donated gift cards and certificates.” Flores reiterated that the LVBC "really wants to give San Angelo a convenient place to enjoy and get to know most of [San Angelo's] food trucks at one time." He also stressed that the event was created to give San Angelo residents a "low-cost family event."

Additionally, there will be a free shuttle service to the Visitors Center at the South Gate of GAFB, free fingerprinting for children offered by SAPD Crime Prevention officers, inside air-conditioned dining areas and outside picnic areas, and of course live music. Free parking, on-site restrooms, and an on-site ATM machine provided by Concho Educators Federal Credit Union, will be available for all visitors.
