SAN ANGELO, TX — A single-family home in the 900 block of Cauley Ln. was the scene of a structure fire Sunday evening. The call came in at approximately 9:30 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was pouring out of the attic. It took them about 20 minutes to put the fire out, using 350 gallons of water, a spokesman said.
Two people were occupying the house when the fire was discovered. The occupants said their first indication something was amiss was when the electricity went off unexpectedly.

Two units, stations 5 and 6 consisting of about 12 firefighters, battled the attic fire in 21 degree F outside temperature.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The occupants stated they will stay with friends tonight.
