NWS of San Angelo: Bundle Up for Tonight's Playoff Games

SAN ANGELO, TX - Yesterday morning, San Angeloans woke up to freezing temperatures, but no snow covering the streets as predicted. There were a few snow flurries, but the precipitation stopped fairly early. Last night, San Angeloans witnessed 21-degree weather. Today, the temps (high temp in the mid-40s)were still such for people to don coats, scarves, beanies, and hats for the day.

For tonight in San Angelo, the low is expected to be 29 degrees, said Hector Guerrero with the National Weather Service of San Angelo. Also, for those planning on heading to Abilene for tonight's playoff game in support of Iraan, or for any other games in West Texas, they want to go prepared as well. Game time temps in Abilene will be 37.

Guerrero did say, however, that the weather will warm up some for the weekend. Tomorrow, temps will go up into the 50s, but it will be in the 40s for the evening hours, so San Angeloans will want to bundle up for the Christmas celebration activities in downtown San Angelo.

Sunday, San Angeloans will get a bit of relief from the cold. Guerrero said the temps will reach a high of 69 degrees.
